Any mechanic's solution for mess-free drainage and storage of motor oil waste.
Drain your vehicle’s oil or antifreeze without the mess of other drain pans when using Groz 15 Quart Drain Pan. Perfect for mechanics and DIY enthusiasts, this Drain Pan provides a cleaner drain for vehicles with larger engine capacities or multiple vehicles without needing multiple, smaller capacity drain pans.
What makes the Groz 15 Quart Drain Pan so great?
This drain pan has a large 8” opening to catch the oil with a built-in filter to prevent small parts such as the screw cap from falling into the oil. Having this filter removes the need for the user to be fishing through hot oil for anything that may have fallen in. When the drain pan is full, the user simply covers the opening with a large gasketed orange cap, keeping the fluid securely inside without anything spilling during the movement of the pan.
This pan has a handle to easily carry and transport from one place to another. Paired with the handle, this pan has wheels at the bottom to keep steady when pouring out the fluid from the vent at the top of pan. The vent makes disposing the fluid out of the pan simple, as the smaller opening provides a thinner but targeted stream to prevent splashes during disposal.
This drain pan is perfect for larger, heavy-duty vehicles that need multiple oil changes. It is made from polyethylene, a durable but lightweight synthetic resin that enables this pan to be used multiple times while still maintaining its structural integrity and functionality to securely hold the used oil or antifreeze.
This product is great for DIY who likes to change their own oil and must take a trip to a recycling center to dispose of the waste oil. This oil drain pan would work great for those owners of everything from a high-performance sport car down to subcompact cars.
Vehicles that require around 15 quarts of oil during an oil change are typically high-performance sports cars or heavy-duty trucks with large engines. These vehicles have larger engines that require more oil to ensure proper lubrication and cooling.
What kind of vehicles need close to 15 quarts of oil per change?
Here are some examples:
High-Performance Sports Cars- Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
- Dodge Viper
- Ford GT
Heavy-Duty Trucks
- Ford F-250 Super Duty (with larger diesel engines)
- Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD (with larger diesel engines)
- Ram 2500 (with larger diesel engines)
Don’t work with vehicles that use 15 quarts? This oil pan would allow you to store oil between oil changes, depending on the vehicle's oil capacity. The leakproof lid feature would allow more than one oil change before a mess free trip to the recycling center is needed.
For vehicles that are mid to light duty, the amount of oil needed typically ranges from 6-8 quarts of oil per change, enabling the user to get two oil changes out of this drain pan.
Here are some examples of vehicles that need 6-8 quarts of oil per change:
Cars- Ford Mustang GT (5.0L V8 engine)
- Chevrolet Camaro SS (6.2L V8 engine)
- Dodge Charger R/T (5.7L V8 engine)
SUVs
- Jeep Grand Cherokee (5.7L V8 engine)
- Ford Explorer (3.5L V6 engine)
- Chevrolet Tahoe (5.3L V8 engine)
Light Trucks
- Ford F-150 (5.0L V8 engine)
- Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (5.3L V8 engine)
- Ram 1500 (5.7L V8 engine)
Compact and Subcompact cars usually need 3 quarts of oil per change. This means the 15-quart size will enable between 4-5 oil changes with draining before the pan fills up.
Here are some examples of vehicles that need 3 quarts of oil per change:
Compact Cars- Honda Civic (older models with 1.5L or 1.6L engines)
- Toyota Corolla (older models with 1.6L engines)
- Ram 1500 (5.7L V8 engine)
- Mazda MX-5 Miata (1.6L and 1.8L engines)
Subcompact Cars
- Ford Fiesta (1.0L EcoBoost engine)
- Chevrolet Spark (1.4L engine)
- Hyundai Accent (1.6L engine)
This leakproof drain pan is also great for landowners with an acreage, landscaping companies, and municipalities who own tractors that they use on and around the property.
Examples of tractors that need less than 15 quarts of oil per change are:
Small to Medium Tractors- John Deere 1025R: Approximately 3.2 quarts*
- Kubota BX2380: Around 3.3 quarts*
- Ford 8N: About 6 quarts*
Medium to Large Tractors
- John Deere 5055E: Approximately 8 quarts*
- Kubota M7060: Around 12 quarts*
- New Holland Workmaster 75: About 13 quarts*
Last but not least, these drain pans are helpful for Utility Terrain Vehicles, UTVs, which can be found in Construction, Property Maintenance, Hunting, as well as Farming.
UTVs- Polaris RANGER XP 1000 and CREW XP 1000: Approximately 2.5 quarts*
- Honda Pioneer 1000: Approximately 6.8 quarts*
- Polaris GENERAL 1000 and 4 1000: Approximately 2.5 quarts*
- John Deere XUV590M Gator Utility Vehicle: Approximately 2.3 quarts*
